Fall Target Wishlist

Now that the kids are back in school, I get my sacred solo Target trips back! I get to wander the store with my venti iced green tea latte with no small humans asking me for popcorn, or cookies, or icees, or frappuccinos they won't drink. No sternly yell whispering, "Stop running around! This is not a playground!!" or "Don't touch that! Its glass!" Not having to repeat the phrase, "No you can't get a toy. You don't have to get a toy every single time we come to Target." I mean, I love my kids. I'm basically obsessed. But we can all agree...Target is a mom's happy place. It is best browsed alone.

So during my latest trip I went in with a list:

  • Cat food
  • Paper towels
  • Hairspray
  • Cotton rounds

I told myself, "You need 4 things. Don't get sucked in. Don't buy home shit. Don't buy clothes."

Well, I'm sure you can imagine what happened next. Four minutes into the trip, I had 2 pairs of jeans and a kimono duster in my cart. TO BE FAIR...the jeans were on sale and Cartwheel was having an additional 20% off clearance items trap going. I would have been dumb to walk away from a sale on denim that actually fit!! Besides, look at this kimono. How could I say no?!

I mean, look at the gorgeous floral detail! I've been so obsessed with these colors lately too. It was begging me to take it home ;)

Its always so hard not to go crazy in there when they start switching over to a whole new season of products. Add the fact that Fall is my favorite season, that store is about to be filled to the brim with things that will be begging to come home with me. While I had failed at sticking to my budget guns. I did succeed at not buying everything cute I wanted! I did manage to avoid any home decor purchases. And most importantly, I did get all 4 items on my list! How many times have you gone to Target and walked out with 8 things you didn't need and zero things you did?! At least I got all of the boring stuff. Thats a win right?! Plus, during my aisle roaming I decide to make a little wish list of a few of my favorite items I spotted while shopping.

1. The beloved Mossimo relaxed v-neck tee. You guys already know how soft these guys are. They have so many rich fall colors on the shelves right now too. They are closet staples! I wonder what will replace them when Target eventually ditches Mossimo?

2. Merona ankle-cut rain boots. Fall in Northern California is our rainy season. I usually just wear my leather Vans Sk8 hi's when it rains. But I guess on the year that I'm turning 30, I should grow up just a little and get a proper pair of rain boots. These ones are simple enough to match just about any outfit. But chic enough to stand out.

3. Moda Lux suede and faux leather tote. I am the biggest supporter of bags that are two types of fabric. ESPECIALLY when they are suede and leather. This tote looks perfect for fall! Big enough to carry all of my essentials plus a good book or two. I love that it can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody. And the best part is that the top half folds over when worn as a crossbody bag. I love that look. It also comes in a burnt orange color which gives black a run for its money in my opinion.

4. SUGARFIX by BaubleBar layered rose quartz necklace. Rose quarts happens to be my favorite of all the crystals! It is a crystal of unconditional love, tenderness, and healing. Plus its my favorite color, Pink! This layered necklace is right up my alley. Dainty but unique. I would wear this with just about anything. Perfect when paired with a v-neck!

5. Xhilaration gold bell sleeve top. I'm gonna go on record and say bell sleeves are going to be the it thing this fall. Last fall it was the cold shoulder. Time to move on. Its all about the bell sleeves! I love this one because its so boho! I love the mustard color with the blue floral accents. I would personally wear this top tucked into high waisted denim and a pair of wooden clogs. The perfect fall outfit!

6. Mossimo high rise distressed skinny jeans in black. I know, I know! I just told you I bought two pairs of jeans! BUT neither were a black pair! I really dig the different lengths in the ankle cuts. These skinnies look fresh and so put together for a pair of distressed jeans. And lets be honest, I am a sucker for a distressed denim. Funny story, while I was looking at all of the clothes, I overheard an elderly woman say, "You know they put holes in women's jeans now....Intentionally!!" I snorted when I heard her say that. You're damn right they do! Because people like me eat it up!

Well that's it for my little fall Target wishlist. Do you have any of these items yet? What do you have your eye on from our favorite neighborhood bullseye logoed store?! Let me know in the comments!

  1. I love the bag and the jeans. I prefer the rain boots little bit higher. I can't get my hands off the beautiful clothes and jeans at the shopping store when I go to the mall. I usually end up spending more money that I have planned. So tempting!!

  2. I just love the fabric and print of the kimono. I wish I could try it out once. :) I love those rain boots too. Looks like it's time to shop. Cheers!!
