Have you ever created something that completely represented your current emotions? Something that just puts everything that you are feeling out onto the table.

Well that’s what this set of images is to me.

I took these photos of Lily during a time in my life where I was discovering who I was and what I needed. I was being selfish but I needed to be. I was experimenting. I was learning that I deserved be loved.

All the while, I struggled internally. Alone.

This is all of my crazy, lonesome, experimental, passionate, selfish emotions put into set of photographs for you, the world, to interpret.

Maybe you know what its about, maybe you don’t. It doesn’t really matter….because this set was strictly for me.

We can all agree that I am a horrible blogger. Well, I am going to make a virtual promise to you today. I will blog more frequently.

There it is, written out for all of the interweb to see! With the new look, there isn’t a better time really.

Anyway, its a good day to start off with a session I did way back when of a super talented and ambitious It Girl of Pensacola. Kara Woodsen is the co-founder of Five, a locally based creative organization that celebrates the city’s fashion, art, and nightlife. Every other month they release a digital mini-magazine. Thanks to Kara, Five’s popularity is continuing to expand.

Let’s celebrate this bold fashionista, shall we?

Meet Lou. She is all mine.

If you take everything good and right about me and multiply that by one thousand, you get Lou.
A lot of the time I get so caught up in photographing other people and their lives, that I forget that I have my own to document. I want to be able to look back years from now and live through the photos that I have taken. Ultimately, this is the exact reason why I have one of the most rewarding jobs in the history of man. Because I have that power. I get to freeze Lou exactly how she is today.

And today she is a cookie monster.

And of course here we have the, ‘GIVE ME YOUR CAMERA MOMMY!’ moment where she reaches and I swiftly and cunningly back away. Not this time Lou, not this time.

I had the pleasure of working with this gorgeous girl a few weeks ago. She wanted to get a few sexy photos done as a gift for her husband. I must say this girl rocked it with her Katy Perry-esque look and her banging bod! I think every girl should get out of her comfort zone every now and then. The results leave you feeling incredible and I am sure your significant other won’t complain either.
